A Harmonious Rebranding for
a Cultural Institution with Tradition

Brașov Philharmonic is one of the most representative cultural institutions in Brașov, with a rich history dating back to 1878. The institution is undergoing a process of modernization, aiming to attract and educate a younger audience while preserving its traditional one.

The Philharmonic needed a new visual identity—a foundation to support the ongoing process of modernization and development.

As a result, Arena Advertising was tasked with creating a unique, strong, and memorable visual identity that reflects the emotions music evokes in the audience and is relevant both for the public and the orchestra.

The graphic symbol created for Brașov Philharmonic represents the two halves that form a virtuous circle: orchestra–audience, past–present, classical–modern.

The halves overlap, interact, and simultaneously form the “B” of Brașov, representing both the orchestra and its audience.

The icon works both as part of the logo and as a key visual element. It can be deconstructed, rearranged, and repositioned in various ways—from patterns to signage elements—adding a sense of movement and freshness to every manifestation. A clean and clear wordmark complements the icon, while the color palette is both modern and elegant.
